Peebles is a championship course, having played host in the past to the Scottish Girls Strokeplay Championship, Scottish Boys Team Championship and in 2006 the Scottish Girls Amateur Championship.

The course is considered one of the finest in the Borders for the quality of its turf, greens and the stunning views. It is a prime example of a challenging Scottish upland golf course.

The golf course is not totally flat but the slopes are not unduly demanding. Peebles offers an excellent challenge for all golfers - the tough opening holes are balanced by a more generous stretch where the eighth and ninth lead you back down the hill towards the clubhouse.

The back nine start off fairly gently until the difficult fourteenth hole, culminating in a very testing finish to an enjoyable round of golf.
