Directly opposite the Tontine, the house above St Michael's Wynd has fine stone carvings, including three pediments, each capped with a motif - a star, a thistle and a crescent. The facade also features a sundial which indicates Greenwich Solar Time at its latitude of 55 degrees 39 minutes.
